We use the present simple to talk about activities that people do.
For third person singular, we add s or es to the end of the verb. (He, She, and It).
For example:
- My dad washes the car.
- My mom does the gardening.
- My sister plays the guitar.
- I read my comics.
- We go to school.
- The swim in the afternoon.

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
We use the present continuous to talk about actions happening at the time of speaking.
We use a form of the auxiliary verb be and the base verb with the ending - ing.
For example:
- I am eating a hot dog.
- Harry is selling a lot of hot dogs.
- People are waiting in a line.
- He is sitting on chair.
